Sewing Classes

Suitable for those with a knowledge of sewing.

Choose between a variety of shoulder bag designs and fabrics.

All fabrics and hardware will be included and prints discussed with you prior to the group.

Please bring a small sewing kit with you (scissors, needles, pins,etc), as well as a packed lunch or enjoy a pre-booked lunch at The Deli.

This groups runs from 10am-3.30pm

Whether you are a beginner starting out or experienced sewer wanting to learn a new skill these one to one workshops allow you to fully focus and work at your own pace.

We will spend 2 hours working on the item of your choice.

I will discuss with you prior to the workshop the garment you would like to sew, suitable patterns and fabrics, etc.

Please note that fabrics and patterns are not included in this workshop price due to the individuality of the workshop.

One To One sessions run between 10am-4pm Mon-Fri I will contact you after you have booked to arrange a date and time that suits you.

Perfect for children aged 10-14yrs 

With step-by-step guidance, young creators will develop confidence in their sewing skills while expressing their own unique style!

 Learn how to use sewing machines to create and sew either a cushion or tote bag.

We will spend the morning working on the item of your choice.

I will discuss with you prior to the workshop the item you would like to sew, and fabric preference etc.

All fabric and accessories included.

All workshops take place from my cosy studio at Hylands Estate in Chelmsford.

This 4 week course is suitable for beginners and those wanting to refresh their sewing skills.

In these 2 hour workshops we will learn how to use your sewing machines functions to make a different item each week.

Week 1: Cushion - learn to use a pattern while creating your own cushion.

Week 2: Tote Bag - we will look at measurements and different construction techniques while making your tote bag.

Week 3: Cosmetic Bag - this week you will learn how to attach zips and birth your cosmetic bag.

Week 4: Apron - working with thicker fabrics. We will learn different sewing techniques for thicker fabrics while sewing our aprons.

I will contact you once you have booked to discuss fabric requirements for each week of the course.

All groups are kept small with a maximum of 4 people and take place within my cosy studio within the grounds of Hylands Estate.
